The Journey

"The Journey" by Christian Lozada - Painted in Photoshop and printed on 14" x 36" Canvas
Here's the new piece that I did for an art show being held at the Niagara Bar in New York City.  The show will be held on Thursday, September 15 at 9:00pm.  It will be presented by the Antagonist Movement and will be curated by Omayra & Berto.  I'm excited about the show and I can't wait to go to NYC!  So if any of you happen to be in the area on this day be sure to stop by and check it out.

When my friend Omy asked if I wanted to create something for her show I was really excited, but I also knew that I would have to step up my game.  So I took a couple of weeks to think of a concept to go along with the theme of the show, "Journey".  I thought long and hard about what that means to me and what I came up with is THE Journey.  It's the journey that everyone in life goes through.  Some people go their whole lives not finding what they are looking for, but for some lucky people like myself they find exactly what they've been searching for.  And now it's time for the next step of the journey...

If you would like to see my process you can click the animated GIF below.  Like all the rest of my processes each frame in the animation is about an hour of painting.(give or take)  So all in all this piece took me about 30 hours?  I hope that you guys enjoy.

  2. Yeah I try to save jpgs while I paint so I can see how I work, and what I can do to improve. It also gives me an estimated time of how long it took me to paint each piece.
